Dear Kristen, future Ironman (in just 3 short days!!!!!),
You got this. You’ve put in the work.
You’ve been training and kicking ass for over a year, in preparation for this one day. The day is just a day, just a number on the calendar. It’s what’s in your heart, in your soul… that’s what makes this particular day so meaningful.
Know that we are all cheering for you. Near and far, you are in all our hearts. You are doing something that not just anyone can do. And you are inspiring so many people in the process.
You are about to push your body, your mind, and your spirit, for hours on end, miles on end. I cannot think of a better, more prepared, and more deserving person to crush this Ironman than you.
I love you sisser, and I am so proud of you. I cannot wait to be there and cheer you on as you enjoy the final steps in becoming an Ironman. You’ve done the work, it’s time now time to enjoy the last 140.6 miles in your Ironman journey.
“The race always hurts.
Expect it to hurt.
You don’t train so it doesn’t hurt.
You train so you can tolerate it.”
