What a week, folks. What a week. Last week Monday, I felt kind of nauseated all day, and had a bit of a headache. By the time I got home from work, all hell broke loose! I somehow contracted a stomach bug, and had a pretty awful night Monday and into Tuesday. I called into work Tuesday, and though I did feel better, I was not well enough to work, and Jasper did his best to make me feel better throughout the day.
By Wednesday, I was pretty much back to normal, and couldn’t have been happier! I went to the KC Running Co. group run Wednesday night and then watched a great presentation about winter and cold weather running.
Friday, at work, I moved to a new cubicle, and now I get to see this gorgeous view every day!
And then, to make Friday even better, we had our work holiday party in the evening. I mainly hung out with Jenn, because I don’t know a lot of people at work yet, but it was a really fun time. I’m so thankful for my new job, I’m loving everything I’m learning and really excited to keep learning and growing!!
Saturday morning, I met Belle for coffee before going to my first zumba class in over 3 years! I also gave her a KC 1985 shirt, which she will never take off now.
Zumba. Ya, it’s been a really long time since I took or taught a zumba class. For my readers who don’t know, I taught zumba from 2009-2012, and ended up actually getting really burnt out with teaching, and took a break that ended up being the end of my teaching career. I never really wanted to take a 3 year break, but it just happened! So my bestie asked me to go to a class with her, and it was a lot of fun! I dug out my old pair of zumba pants and rocked my booty!
Saturday night, late, it started raining, and hasn’t stopped yet! Sunday around noon, I ran in the rain, because I was not in the mood at all to run on the treadmill. I was really lucky the temperature was around 60 yesterday, so even though it was really wet, at least it wasn’t cold too! You can kind of see, behind me, the river is FULL!
Later on Sunday evening, I went to the KC Running Co. Holiday Party, with Amy. We had food, drinks, and lots of fun! KCRC, thank you for a fantastic year.
Jasper is really excited for Christmas, he’s been gnawing on the Christmas tree just about every evening. He has not, however, knocked it over, so I’m very surprised!
11 short days until Christmas!
