I don’t have too much to talk about for this week, but at least I have a few pictures to share!
With the cooler weather this past week, Jasper has been super cuddly.
Thursday night, the KCRC Groupies had a little contest… we ran a 3.5 mile route with no watches, and had to predict our times before we ran. Whoever predicted their time the closest (including any stops for stoplights), won a pair of shoes! Well, I ended up 12 seconds off my predicted time, and won a new pair of Hokas! Thanks KC Running Co, I love this club and all my friends there!
Friday night, I enjoyed the rain shower while watching the Royals with a delicious pizza and Mike’s lemonade. Perfect, relaxing Friday night.
Saturday, Amy and I ran at Shawnee Mission Park again, which was gorgeous. The park is so pretty, and the weather couldn’t have been any better.
And Saturday afternoon I finally had some BBQ at Joe’s KC BBQ. For about a week and a half, I’ve been craving some good ol’ BBQ, and finally had time Saturday to get some. It was totally worth the wait.
Later Saturday, I ran some errands with Amy and Joshua, and of course, we had to take some pictures. All kids these days know right where to go on a phone to take selfies. Smart kids.
Super bright and early (well, actually, it was so early that it was still dark) Sunday, Amy and I went downtown to run the final 10k of the Heartland 30k series, the Broadway Bridge 10k. It was a superbly beautiful morning, chilly and fall-like. After warming up a bit and using the portapotties, we were off! Read my race recap here!
After the race, I had some nice pampering for my feet and legs, with a pedicure, and then pulled on my compression socks and wore my Oofos sandals all day long.
I hope everyone has a great week, enjoy the cooler weather!
