Spring is officially here! And with Spring, my allergies are starting to flare up. I’m hoping they aren’t as bad this year as they were last year.
Last week, I stopped by World Market and bought this beauty. I love him to pieces, I took him to work and he sits proudly on my desk.
For Throwback Thursday, I present my pothos plant that I have at work! The picture on the left is from when I first got him, almost 3 years ago when I started working for the State. He has grown and grown, and is pretty huge now. I need to re-pot him this spring or summer probably. Side note: I notice that I call all my plants “he” or “him.” My plants are all apparently male.
Last Sunday, I attempted to run 8 miles. From my apartment, I ran north on State Line all the way to 435, which is 4 miles, then stopped at the Quick Trip to fill up my water bottle, and turned around and ran back. Unfortunately, there are tons and tons of hills on that route, which is exactly why I wanted to run it, but it was H. A. R. D. I had to walk up at least part of the hills. Later that evening, I went out and ran 2 more miles, so I covered 10 miles total on Sunday. I was pretty happy overall, but I wish I wouldn’t have had to walk. This weekend, I’ll attempt to run 10 again on Sunday, with the Groupies.
Countdown is on for the Rock the Parkway Half Marathon! It is in 2 weeks!!
Way back in January, I found this little “Nesise Ladle” online, and fell in love! Well, I placed an order, and it came this week! It is just perfect and adorable. You can buy it here, it’s currently backordered until June.
James took a couple adorable pictures of Jasper yesterday. He likes to curl up on my pillow and sleep. He’s basically like a little angel, with claws.
My running buddy Amy and I talked last week about running the Heartland 10k series, which is 3 10k’s in August and September. I went ahead and signed up for it, and can’t wait! The races are the Dot to Dot 10k on August 29, the Plaza 10k on September 13, and the Broadway Bridge 10k on September 20. I ran the Plaza 10k last year, and loved it. I can’t wait to do this series this fall.
